How do I know if this course is for me?
"I don't have an overlocker / serger. Can I still make this body stocking?"
YES, you can make the body stocking using a regular sewing machine as long as it can do the zigzag stitch. (Of course, you're welcome to use an overlocker if you have!)
"How complicated is it for someone that is relatively new?"
The sewing part is pretty straightforward once you get the hang of sewing stretch mesh, which I'll explain in detail in the course. So you can practice before you start your project.
The only part that can be challenging for beginners in this course is the pattern making section. Since body stockings are really fitted (probably the most fitted things we'll ever make!), we take all types of body measurements and make a custom pattern :)
If you've never drafted a pattern before, you may find it challenging, but I'm going to explain this step by step, and include a calculator that does all the math for you!
Actually, I think this course will give you a great opportunity to take all kinds of body measurements once and for all, and record them in a worksheet, so that you don't have to take measurements for every project.... unless your size changes, but even then, you'll have the worksheets to help you take measurements again! :)
